Fantastic, highly-recommended. I was just passing through and thought "sushi in Grand Junction, really?" I followed the reviews of others on Yelp and I'm very glad I did. Incredible sushi and wonderful service. Even their traditional rolls are mouth-watering, but I strongly recommend the baked lobster roll, it's to die for.

My husband and I do a lot of traveling and we've tried sushi from California to Vegas to colorado. I consider myself to be kind if a sushi snob and I can't believe I've just had the best sushi I've ever had in Grand Junction, Colorado. Sushi Rok is surprisingly amazing!!! The fish is so fresh and delicious. The appetizers are amazing and every roll we ordered was scrumptious beyond our expectations! The service is great, the restaurant is clean, ambiance is good. Incredible.

Dion, our server was fantastic! We had seaweed salad which was fresh and tasty to start. Then New York strip on the Rok, excellent! Don't miss the Boom Boom roll! Wonderful! We ended with Yellowtail and Salmon sashimi, fresh and ill of flavor. Next time we are in Grand Junction we will stop in again.

Fantastic service! Sat at the sushi bar and Jesus is a genius and a true artist! Food is great! Surprised to find this gem off the beaten path. Yummy! Highly recommended!

Best Mai Tai in Colorado, service is fast and waiters are attentive. Cannot go wrong with anything on the menu!

We were here for my birthday. Food, service, atmosfere all good but they need more variety on specialty rolls! Be back again!

This location has changed hands many times, as any Grand Valley resident can tell you, and the different management & staff have had varying degrees of success. Currently, as Sushi & Rok, they are doing very well! They have an astronomical variety of sushi, pages and pages of options. And if you happen to be with non-seafood eaters, then there are many other delicious items for them as well (Pork, Chicken, Steak, Asian Noodle Dishes, etc) They have unique seating choices too, I had a birthday party of 12 here but they can also accommodate a romantic date, a private business lunch, or a single person sitting at the sushi bar for a quick bite. And that is something Suehiros simply cannot provide. Its always clean, service is quick and friendly. Don't be put off by its proximity to Applebee's and Denny's!

Staying at a hotel down the street and didn't feel like going downtown to eat after working all day. I see the reviews for a sushi place that sounds phenomenal and I'm sold! Until I arrive in the parking lot and see it's neighbored by a Denny's and a Pizza Hut... As others have said, however, the sushi is fantastic. Seriously some of the best I've ever had! Don't judge sushi and rok by its cover!

Travel to here, walking 5 mins to this place. It did worth. You can't miss it definitely. Love baked salmon roll, dumpling appetizer, udon noodle. ^_^

The sushi - top notch, very good probably some of the best around GJ. Wish I could give it a higher rating but the "Rok" portion was a low sub par. I got the scallops and the rok came covered in tin foil which I found odd, and it was not even close to hot enough so there is no way at all to get any color on the scallops and they just kind of sat there a steamed. Cutting the scallops cut into the foil and made a mess as I tried to avoid pieces of foil. The rok gimmick needs work

We came here for lunch on a Friday. It was pretty slow. Food came out on time but lukewarm. The sushi was comparable to that in a gas station. We mentioned it to the waiter and he apologized but nothing more than that. Didn't try to make things right. We asked for a manager but was told they didn't have one on duty. Very dissatisfied! We won't be coming back.

We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door by a smile & were seated instantly. Ordered drinks that came quickly. We are from florida and I have to say we had some of the best sushi here. They have complimentary meso soup that was fantastic. I will definitely visit again during our stay!

This is not a great place for sushi. All their sushi has imitation crab meat in them and sauces that do not taste great. Service was awkward and slow. I won't be returning.

My sushi was pretty good but I have to give it a two based on atmosphere and the service. Friendly staff but agonizingly slow.

Outstanding fresh fish expertly prepared by jesus. Superbly plated. The peacock plate is sashimi with fresh jalapeno and a sesame drizzle...omg yum. Good service reasonable prices. Fish is flown in 3 times a week.

If I have to say something about our trip to west coast, it is hard to forget this sushi store. Usually mid-america only has weird Chinese and Japanese food which only for American. But this one is good. Even better than most NY sushi store. Their price is a little bit high, so lost one star.

Tried their Lemon Evo and Rainbow Roll while visiting a friend in Grand Junction and it was awesome. We both decided on sushi and this place was the closest. Place looks pretty clean. Among the better sushi restaurant that I have tried in Colorado I would say. The roll looks pretty and tastes good.

Best sushi I ever had. We'll definitely recommend to my friends! The price is considered pretty good given the high quality of the food.

I went to there with my boyfriend in our travel. I like the food. It tasted good and fresh. If I go to Grand Junction again, this will be a good choice.

Honestly, some of the worst sushi I have had in Grand Junction. This place is too expensive for the mediocre quality. Would not recommend to anyone. I would, however, recommend Suehiro's on Main Street.

I've eaten in the restaurant a handful of times and taken out many times. We did the steak on a "rok" the first time we were there and didn't really like it. We were however, impressed with the sushi. They have many clever rolls and the prices are reasonable. The fish has always been fresh and they know how to make rice (don't get me started on the rice at No Coast). Early on, they had issues with their service. I suspect they were working out the kinks and hopefully it is better now. The interior doesn't really feel like a sushi restaurant but I think the food makes up for it. This is definitely our go to sushi place.

This was our first time as we are from out of state. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was great and very helpful. Food was great - we had sushi and the steak served on the Rok. Definitely would go back; recommend that you try it too!

I have been to Sushi & Rok many times, and have left happy and satisfied every time. The staff is very friendly; both the sushi chefs and waiters are fun and pleasant to interact with. They offer the best sushi in town at great prices. The steak here is probably the best I've tasted, and it's always cooked exactly how I want it on the volcanic rok grill. This is a great place to grab a quick lunch, nice dinner, or even enjoy drinks at the bar. I most certainly plan on visiting again soon.

Good food, decent prices. Fish tasted fresh. Good alternative if No coast or suehiros is busy. Will definitely go back.

I have been to many sushi restaurants and am a waitress myself and I have to say this was by far my worst experience ever! I hate to be a complainer but I don't want ANYONE to have to sit though a meal like I had. Our service was okay to start and then our drinks arrived...The lime garnishes were so rotten when we removed them the rind and the insides separated leaving the rotten meat of the lime stuck to the glass, tasty right? However nasty the circumstances we stayed for our food and were very disappointed to say we also questioned the freshness of the RAW fish we were eating! To sum it up it was the most expensive stomach ache i have ever had! Please don't let this happen to you!!!
